I’m not sure if there are really any words to actually describe this. I know
it was a semi-respectable paid attendance, but how only 600 people show up
is beyond me. I mean, I know it was hot and humid, but damn it, it fricking
MIAMI, it’s hot and humid there a lot! Fine, it was mid-week game, and the
Fish aren’t looking so good to make the playoffs, but 600?! I can only pray
that this never happens in the new stadium. Selig will want to send us to
Puerto Rico or something if it happens there.

Go to the damn game and drink cold beer! Would Cubs fans skip out on an
afternoon mid-week game because it’s hot and humid (which does happen in
Chicago)? Hell no! They are real baseball fans. I hate our fans. We suck.
Well, I don’t, but a lot of us do!

I am a Marlins fan from a climate no where near as appealing as the climate of Miami. If given the opportunity to watch my favorite baseball team play a game outdoors on a beautiful summer day – I would be there in a heartbeat! I guess the saying is true – you never know what you have got until it is gone! Hope that doesn’t happen to the Marlins.

It is inconceivable that only 600 people show up…I agree, how could these people prefer to be at work instead of taking advantage of the wonderful weather we’re blessed with in South Florida and going to the ball park.

Besides, these Fish are good and not done yet!

As far as the 10,611 tickets sold. That number is probably from season ticket holders (About 10,000 if the numbers work correctly), who cannot attend every game, and quite frankly, cannot take the time out of the workday to go to a 1pm Marlins game in the middle of the week. I was actually surprised that anybody showed up at all! I wish I was like those 600 people able to take off on a Wednesday afternoon!
